How Friends of the Fox River helping our environment?
Volunteers built a Bee Sanctuary and recording area plants and insects.
What is Bee Sanctuary?
Native bees can find their food in a
habitat with variety of native plants.
There are 27 native flowers planted for bees
and other insects (butterflies) to visit for food.

Emily Schweitzer generous donation of the 156 acres for dog park and preservation of native trees and plants. Emily Schweitzer raised 17 champion Irish Setters and many awards for Bench, Field Trials, Gun Dogs and Companion Dogs.
Friends of the Fox River use her residence that was built in 1953 as outreach to the community in preserving the Fox River Watershed and preservation of native plants and trees for the animals of our local area.
